Stereolithography (SLA) Technology

Stereolithography (SLA) is an effective additive manufacturing process which utilizes a vat filled with UV-curable photopolymer resin and a UV laser to create parts in layers. This technology provides smooth sidewall quality and detail, tight tolerances with layer thickness of 50-200 microns, and a variety of materials for specific applications. It is most often used as a prototyping system in order to validate the fit, form, or functionality of a model or part. Additionally, it is often employed in manufacturing applications for short production runs and to produce functional end use parts for certain environments. Due to short build times and excellent finish quality, minimal post-processing of the parts is necessary, resulting in time and cost savings.
