For what seemed like forever, live events were brought to a screeching halt by the coronavirus. However, the newly released vaccines have helped public events slowly start to return to normal. The Design-2-Part team kicked off their first New England trade show following the pandemic on June 23rd and 24th at the Mohegan Sun Exposition Center in Uncasville, CT. And with great success!
R&D Technologies hosted a corner booth (#353) with one of our Stratasys F370 machines. The machine attracted some great attention and piqued the interest of some potential customers! The machine was printing ABS-CF10, a carbon fiber infused ABS variant. This material is exemplary for showcasing the wide material range and capabilities of different Stratasys printers.
With the recent releases of many new Stratasys machine offerings, this trade show could not have come at a better time. We were able to discuss practical solutions with engineers and business owners looking to expand their capabilities with additive manufacturing. The J35 Pro was often discussed considering a lower price point and faster PolyJet printing technology with its new rotating tray. The F123 Series machines are always a popular option for those looking into FDM technology, also for an affordable price. Current and past Stratasys customers asked about some of the newer advances in the Stratasys product line. The H350 and Origin One additive machines have been a great addition to broaden the scope of additive technology offered by Stratasys.

I can’t speak high enough of the Design-2-Part staff. Every employee was on task and always working to make sure each exhibitor and attendee had an incredible show. Booth setup and breakdown was quick and relatively painless, even with our large machine! Many of the attendees and exhibitors seemed grateful to see things returning to normal. And this show definitely got our team excited for the next D2P event in Marlborough, MA this September.
