Topic: Dynamic File Properties        

As we all know File Properties (Fileà Properties) are important for filling in BOMs and Title Blocks. When creating file properties they can be dynamic. For example if you had a description like “4.00 x 6.00 x .75 steel plate”, you could link the numbers to the dimensions of the model. If you right click the Annotations folder of the Feature Manager you can show feature dimensions in the graphics area. Then click Fileà Properties. While you editing a property simply click on a dimension that you see from the graphics area and it will fill in the file property. In our previous example if we change the size of our plate the description will now update as soon as we finish editing our SolidWorks Feature
