Topic: Custom Property Manager       

For parts that have more than one configuration, you can build a Property Manager so that when you insert the component into an assembly you can choose the configuration based on parameters other than the configuration name.  For example, if you had configurations of a shaft for length and diameter, with this Property Manager you would be able to choose a length of shaft and not have to know that the configuration name for that shaft is XYZ. To start the procedure, simply right click on the part icon at the top of the Feature Manager Tree and select Create Property Manager.
